Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Solar Area Sales
Manager (Outside Sales) to join our team. The ideal candidate
possesses a unique gift for quickly building rapport, establishing
credibility, and actively listening to customer needs. With a fervent
enthusiasm for solar, smart home, and eco-friendly solutions, you
will play a pivotal role in spreading awareness to both home and
business owners.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage customer
communications, expectations, and follow-up, ensuring a
seamless experience throughout the sales process. You will
execute against generated leads while also cultivating referral
sources to expand our customer base. In addition to
relationship-building skills, we are looking for individuals with a
strong work ethic and a drive to meet and exceed sales goals. You
should have a thirst for knowledge, eagerly seeking to learn new
skills and deepen your understanding of our products and
services.
This position is a full-time, remotely based in Asheville NC area to
build the sales territory. This will include some local travel.
Reports to our Sr. Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with customers, establishing trust and credibility.
- Analyze client energy usage and determine the financial return on investment for solar solutions.
- Generate project proposals and quotes tailored to customer needs and preferences.
- Actively manage sales pipelines using our Company CRM system (Smartsheet).
- Meet or exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the sales team.
- Dedicated work ethic focused on meeting and exceeding goals.
- Desire to learn new skills, build knowledge, and to be a part of an experienced team.
- Manage customer communications, expectations, and follow-up.
- Execute against generated leads, while also developing referral sources.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of our products and services.
Qualifications
- 2 years of sales experience in solar or construction industry
- Experience using CRM systems
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
